I’ve been a longtime #fangirl of Earth Mama Angel Baby. I’m so excited to be involved in the “rebirth” of their brand, as they become Earth Mama Organics.

They are launching some new products along with the rebirth, and I am overjoyed to have been able to test them! About a month ago I was sent four deodorant samples, and their organic baby face nose and cheek balm (which I will be writing about next month!).

In alignment with everything else I’ve used from Earth Mama, the ingredients are squeaky clean. Let’s take a look at my personal favorite scent, Bright Citrus:

Organic Coconut (Cocos Nucifera) Oil, Organic Corn (Zea Mays) Starch, Candelilla (Euphorbia Cerifera) Wax, Baking Soda (Sodium Bicarbonate), Organic Beeswax (Cera Alba), Magnesium Hydroxide, Organic Arrowroot (Maranta Arundinacea) Powder, Organic Grapefruit (Citrus Grandis) Oil, Tocopherol, Organic Tangerine (Citrus Reticulata Blanco) Peel Oil, Organic Calendula (Calendula Officinalis) Flower Extract

It contains NO propylene glycol, artificial fragrance, parabens or aluminum and was specially formulated for sensitive skin.

BUT, the main challenge with natural deodorant is in the DE-ODOR part. So many natural deodorants just don’t work as well as the mainstream brands. So, how well does it work, you ask?

My experience:

First and most importantly, this is the best working natural deodorant I have tried to date.

Because of the company’s track record of well-working products I wouldn’t say I was surprised…but having tried (and not loved) SO MANY I was a little shocked at how well it worked. I think it’s important to note that I am not particularly smelly under my arms, but it’s been unusually hot in Southern California, so the sweat factor has certainly increased.

I really put the deodorant to the test when I took it with me on vacation to the Dominican Republic last week. Very hot and humid = more sweating. I used it every day, and it lasted all day, through tanning and swimming, and playing in the sand.

I didn’t smell at all. Never. Nada. None.

While this is the most effective natural deodorant I’ve ever used, it’s also the softest. This isn’t necessarily a bad thing, and I certainly prefer it over a hard or scratchy deodorant, but in the heat it almost becomes a balm-like cream.

The cream had a lovely feel, but it made it difficult to control how much I was using. Sometimes I’d accidentally apply so much that I had to “dry it off” with a towel. My suggestion would be to keep the bar very low, or to use your fingers to apply the desired amount.

Now let’s talk happy smells. They’ve released four fresh scents, Bright Citrus (my fave), GingerAid, Calming Lavender, and Natural Non-Scents. I love that they have a non-scented version for those super sensitive pregnant nauseous mamas (holla, I feel ya!).

Overall I’m seriously impressed with the new deodorants from Earth Mama

to smelling better — naturally,

Love, Rochelle
